865,287. Moulding handles on hammers. CITROEN, A. June 26, 1959 [Dec. 26, 1958], No. 22065/59. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XXIII] Apparatus for making a hammer handle by injection moulding a polyamide, comprises two mould sections 50, 51 each defining a semi-cavity 52, 53 and in the upper part a socket 54 for the hammer head 10, the head having a recess 16 in which the assembling portion of the handle is adapted to be moulded. In a modification adapted to receive various sizes of hammer head, the sides of the socket receiving the head are slidably mounted and exposed to the action of springs, the top wall of the socket comprising an adjustable plate.
