Abstract

864,595. ' Vehicle frames. ELECKTROMASCHINENBAU FULDA G.m.b.H. June 16, 1959 [July 9, 1958], No. 20596/59. Classes 79(3) and 79(4). A motor vehicle has a rectangular tubular frame 1 with its front portion fixed to a central tubular stub 6 secured to a cross beam 5 carrying the pedals. A transverse leaf spring 7 is also secured to the stub 6 and is provided with brackets 8 to support the wheel hubs 17 and coil springs 9 having their upper ends attached to the mudguards 3. The steering bolts 18 are mounted forwardly of the wheel axles which are secured' to the brake drums 16. The engine 2, a chain drive and the rear wheels are carried by a beam 13 connected by leaf springs 14 to plates 15 on the frame. A coil spring 9 is interposed between the frame and the engine assembly which is enclosed by a vertical plate and a raised floor portion provided with a lockable opening.
