Abstract

1373313 Tricycles B LANNI 3 Oct 1972 45507/72 Heading B7E A tricycle consists of a main frame member 2. mounting a height adjustable seat 3 and front forks 7, height adjustable handle-bars 9 being provided for steering front wheel 10 which is rotatable about an eccentric axle to which pedals 11 are secured, the rear wheels 14 being each mounted on a respective axle 13 resiliently suspended from member 2, the suspension comprising a coil spring 15 secured at one end to a block 16 non-rotatably secured in a housing 12 and at its other end to a block 17 rotatable in the housing, the block 17 having shafts 18, 18A extending from either side thereof which are rigidly secured to the axles 13, whereby rotation of the axles is opposed by torsion in the spring. A lever 20 may be used to free and rotate block 16 to adjust the pre-torsion in the spring.
