Abstract
863,685. Helicopters. COSTRUZIONI AERONAUTICHE GIOVANNI AGUSTA S.p.A. May 13, 1959 [March 27, 1959], No. 16456/59. Class 4. A helicopter constructed for use as a crane has a three-arm structure 5 secured to the roof of the cabin 1 for the attachment of the apex of the structure of a hoist 4 provided with a lifting cable 6 for a load 8 to be raised by the helicopter. The apex and hoist are positioned vertically in line with the centre of gravity of the aircraft and the floor of the cabin has an opening 7 for the passage of cable 6. A remote control device 3 is provided in cabin 1 whereby an operator may control the aircraft whilst observing the load 8 through opening 7. Specification 863,686 is referred to.
