Abstract

861,075. Air filters. KEITH BLACKMAN Ltd., and GOODGE, F. W. Nov. 30, 1959 [Nov. 28, 1958], No. 38429/58. Class 8(2). A plurality of inward flow air filter bags 17, Fig. 1, arranged in parallel within a casing 10 having a dust-laden air inlet 13 and a motor driven suction fan 11 are mounted on a removable frame 12, Fig. 2 comprising a tray 15 having apertures 16 to which the bag necks are secured and legs 22 by which the frame and bags are supported when withdrawn from the casing. The tray 15 is carried by slides 31 and is held in sealing engagement against a felt strip 34 by locking levers 32 and each bag is maintained against collapse by suction by a wire or wooden frame 23, 24. The closed lower ends of each row of bags are traversed by a U-shaped metal rod 26 passing through spaced metal strip 25 which is subjected to vibration by a shaker means 29, 30.
