Abstract
873,650. Air filters. DALLOW, LAMBERT & CO. Ltd. March 24, 1960 [March 24, 1959 ; June 30, 1959], Nos. 10159/59 and 22413/59. Class 8(2). Inward flow filter bags B made from knitted fabric or a synthetic weave are incorporated in a dust collector and depend from a fixed framework 19, the mouths 4 of the bags B being secured to channels section 20 within the framework 19. The bags B have inserts I comprising a rigid framework 6 to which is attached a mattress 5 of helically coiled and interengaged elements 7, adapted to hold apart the sides of the bags and allow free passage of air therethrough. The bottom limbs 6c of the framework 6 bace metal tabs 11 fixed thereto and to the springs 7, the tabs 11 having holes 12 through which a bag shaking rod 16 passes which when operated causes the spring mattress 5 to oscillate transversely, beating the bag and shaking the cake from the outside thereof. The bags B are supported relative to their tabs 11 by apertured felt washers 14, stuck to the tabs 11, the bag B being held thereto by compression washers 17 and tubular spacers 18. The rod 16 is oscillated by an eccentric and oscillating arm driven by an electric motor, fixed to a plate, mounted on the outside of the dust collector casing. The bags B may be received into a deeply corrugated strip mounted upon the rod 16 at spaced positions. Specification 575,551 is referred to.
