Abstract

860,098. Electric battery lamps. CORONET Ltd. Nov. 4, 1959 [Aug. 5, 1958], No. 25076/58. Classes 39 (2) and 75 (2). An electrically operated photo-flash gun comprises a detachable power source, e.g. a battery in a casing, and a reflector fitted with a mounting whereby the power source may be housed in the reflector when not in use. In the form shown, a shoe 2 on the battery casing 1 engages a shoe mount 3 moulded as part of the reflector 8 and is held in place by a spring 4 on the shoe. The operating lead 9 for connection to the flash socket of the camera is coiled inside the reflector which may then be closed by a resilient lipped lid. The battery casing carries a mounting for a bulb and a bayonet fitting 5 which is secured in a, complementary fitting 6 on the reflector when the battery is in operative position. The reflector may be of, dished construction with a generally flat base having an aperture 11 in which the bulb mounting fits.
