996, 456. Photographic camera with built in flash unit R. GRUTER, W. MEIXNER, and A. NALTE, [trading as BALDA-KAMERAWERK RUDOLF GRUTER KOMM. GES.]. July 30, 1962 [Sep. 1, 1961], No.29116/62. Heading G2A. A cover 6 fitting on top of the camera body 1 defines a compartment containing a flash bulb holder 13, and a battery box 12 and having a slot 7 for insertion of the flash bulb and a slot 9, defined by the holder 13 and projections from the battery box, in which a reflector 21 is movable. This reflector has the same light as the compartment and is held therein by a pivoted and spring loaded lines 29, one end of which engages a lug on the lower edge of the reflector. When in this retracted position, an arm 23 attached to the reflector is accommodated in an opening in the camera body 1 and a spring 28 is tensional. Release of the reflector is effected by movement of lines 29 whereupon the reflector is spring urged upwards until lugs 24, 29 on its lower edges engage the top of the compartment.
