Abstract

1,076,398. Camera with built-in flashlight. AGFA A. G. Nov. 27, 1964 [Nov. 29, 1963; April 18, 1964], No. 48394/64. Heading G2A. A camera with a built-in flashlight (Fig. 2) contains a reflector (3) moved in and out of the camera from a working to an idle position and vice versa, by co-operation of a partially projecting rotary element 6 and a corresponding surface 5 of the reflector e.g. by a rack and pinion (as shown), or a friction wheel and surface. As shown, the reflector is moved upwards by a pinion 6 until it reaches the working position when an arm 12b of a pivoted spring-held catch lever 12 slides over an oblique portion 16c of a surface 16, thus holding the reflector in position and also moving arm 13; a flash bulb 8, which may be loosely resting on a spring contact 9 is inserted and is held by arm 13 which penetrates the constriction in the cap 8a, Fig. 3 (not shown); the bulb is ejected by turning pinion 6 a short distance to release arm 13. In a further embodiment the catch lever 12 is also used to maintain the rotary element 6 and surface 5 in contact. Fig. 7 (not shown).
