771,904. Photographic flashlight apparatus. FISCHER, A. March 23, 1955 [March 24, 1954], No. 8521/55. Class 9 (2). A flashlight device comprises a housing 1 having chambers 2, 3 for an electric battery and a condenser and resistance above which is a lamp mounting 4 pivoted on a pin 6 through which leads (not shown) are taken to the lamp holder 5. A collapsible reflector 8 is mounted on a support 7 rigid with the mounting 4 so that after collapsing the reflector by means of a knob 8b, the mounting may be pivoted and the support 7 then forms a closure for the housing as in Fig. 3. A ball and spring catch secures the mounting 4 in the open position and a friction catch 12 on the support 7 engages a recess 13 in the housing when closed.
