718,743. Photographic Hash lamps. AGFA CAMERA-WERK AKT.-GES. June 25, 1952 [Aug. 14, 1951], No. 16034/52. Class 9(2) [Also in Group XI] A photographic flashlight of the battery lamp type is provided with a reflector consisting of two parts la, 1b connected by a hinge 2 and adapted to be used alternatively as a container for a battery lamp and its case 5, or to be opened out and mounted at the upper end of the case 5 in association with a flashlight bulb inserted in a holder 8. The edges of the parts 1a, 1b are curved inwardly, enabling the bottom edges to be inserted within slots 6a, 6b near the upper edge of the case 5. Notches 4a, 4b, Fig. 2 (not shown) in the bottom edges of the reflector parts facilitate the mounting of the reflector. The battery case 5 is of known type to receive a flat battery provided with terminal strips 11, 12, and is associated with a shutter release cable 9 which also effects switching in known manner. A depression may be provided around the lamp holder to receive the cable 9 when not in use. Means 15 may be provided on the bottom of the battery case for attachment to a mounting device on a camera.
