Abstract
858,751. Drying grain. OLDING & CO. (SCOTLAND) Ltd., J. May 27, 1958 [March 8, 1957], No. 7806/57. Class 34(2) Grain is dried in a bin C, Fig. 1, by hot air which is blown into vertical ducts F for emergence into the grain through apertured tubes G. Tubes H conduct the moisture-laden air to atmosphere. In a modified drier, the ducts G, H are inclined downwardly- and parallel to the sloping floor, whilst in yet another embodiment the ducts G, H are vertical and the air supply ducts F are horizontal. The tubes G, H may be of porous material or at least partially perforated and may have any desired section, various sections being described in the Specification.
