857,988. Paper &c. containing synthetic resins etc.; laminates. SCOTT PAPER CO. May 22, 1959 [June 3, 1958], No. 17472/59. Drawings to Specification. Classes 96 and 140. Paper, paper-board &c. is made from fibres of soft or hard wood, bagasse, bamboo, cotton, e.g. as sulphite, sulphate, semi-chemical, or ground wood pulp, e.g. with some mineral fibres, mixed with a disintegrated aminoplast resin foam, e.g. of urea-, or melamine-formaldehyde, or melamine-urea-thiourea-formaldehyde disintegrated in a beater, Jordan, disc mill, or hydropulper &c. to form, e.g. branched rodlike structures &c., thus entrapping air in the paper &c. to make it absorbent, and thermally insulating. Sizes, wet-strength resins, fillers and coating materials may be included with the paper &c., which may be laminated to thermoplastic film material.
