Abstract
853,451. Clocks. COMPAGNIE DES MONTRES LONGINES, FRANCILLON S. A. Sept. 4, 1958 [Oct. 9, 1957], No. 28410/58. Class 139 In an electric clock the seconds and minutes hands are driven in jumps. A projection 4, Fig. 1, on a roller 3 fixed to the balance staff 2 steps-on a ratchet wheel 5 as'the balance swings counter-clockwise. A star-shaped pinion 7 rotates with the ratchet wheel 5 and drives the seconds wheel 8 the spindle 9 of which carries the seconds hand 10, Fig. 2. A projection 12 on the wheel 8 drives a gear 13 which is connected through a gear 15 to the minute wheel 16 the spindle 17 of which carries the minute hand 18. The hour hand 23 is driven through the motion work. Jumpers 11, 19, 20 engage the ratchet wheel 5, the seconds wheel 8 and the minute wheel 16 respectively.
