Abstract

853,155. Inflator connections. KINSMAN Ltd. Aug. 13, 1959 [Aug. 29, 1958], No. 27770/58. Class 99(1). Means for connecting an inflator to a pneumatic tyre valve 7 comprises a tubular body 3 provided with internal left and right hand screwthreads 5, 6 respectively extending from an annular shoulder 4, and a tubular connecting piece 9 connected as at 11 to a flexible hose and formed with an externally screw-threaded head 8 which engages the screw-threads 5 and has mounted in the end thereof a resilient washer 12, movement of the head from the shoulder 4 being limited by a screw 10 extending radially into the body 3. On screwing the body 3 on to the valve 7, the washer 12 is brought into engagement with the end of the valve 7 and a projection 13 on the head 8 engages a valve needle 14 to open the valve.
