Abstract
852,734. Electrode materials and processing. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE RADIOLOGIE. March 29, 1957 [March 30, 1956], No. 10383/57. Drawings to Specification. Class 39(1). [Also in Group XXXVI] The anode of an X-ray tube is coated with rhenium, at least 10Á thick, on at least the bombarded area, to increase heat dissipation. It may be coated directly on to a molybdenum base, or on to an intermediate layer of tungsten. The non-bombarded area may be carbonised. The rhenium may be deposited electrolytically, or by decomposition of a vapour.
