Abstract
1337232 X-ray tubes SIEMENS AG 29 March 1972 [16 April 1971] 14884/72 Heading H1D A rotary anode for an X-ray tube comprises a plate 11 of mainly molybdenum, a layer 14 of tungsten and 10% rhenium forming a target area, and a layer 15 of graphite soldered with zirconium 16 to the plate 11 with an intervening layer 17 of tantalum. Another anode, Fig. 2 (not shown), consists of a circular plate (22) of molybdenum whose peripheral edge has a layer (27) of tungsten and rhenium forming a target. Each major surface of plate (22) has a graphite plate (25, 26) soldered thereto with hafnium with an intervening layer (23, 24) of tungsten.
