Abstract
632,842. Photo-electric cells. GRAVES, A., DAWES, T. J., and ALLTOOLS, Ltd. Sept. 29, 1947, No. 26270. [Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group XL (b)] A photo-cell for timing an X-ray exposure consists of a glass envelope 40 surrounded by a layer 8 of fluorescent material activated by the X-rays. The anode consists of a control electrode 41 and the cathode of a layer of antimony-caesium on the inner wall of the tube. The cathode 43 is sealed in one end of the tube and the anode lead 44 in the other. Specification 593,764 is referred to.
