Abstract

850,070. Optical objectives. ZEISS JENA VEB, C. Dec. 17, 1958, No. 40773/58. Class 97(1) A photographic and projection lens consists of six components, three on each side of a central diaphragm, in which all six components are menisci concave towards the diaphragm and the middle of the three components on each side of this diaphragm is negative and the other four components are all negative, the focal length of each component being in numerical value greater than the focal length of the whole lens. Preferably the meniscus on each side of and next to the diaphragm is a single element and the four other menisci are doublets. The cemented surfaces of the outer components preferably produce a convergent effect and the cemented surfaces of the inner components preferably produce a divergent effect. Optical data are given for one example of the embodiment shown.
