Abstract

752,179. Optical objectives. ANGENIEUX, P. Oct. 11, 1954, No. 29226/54. Class 97 (1). In an objective formed of six components, of which the first is convergent, the second a convergent meniscus convex to the front, the third a meniscus convex to the front, the fourth a meniscus convex to the rear and the fifth and sixth biconvex, the radius of the front surfaces of the second component lies between 0.6 F and 2 F, that of the front surface of the first component between 0.45 F and 0.80 F, that of the rear surface of the third component between 0.25 F and 0.45 F, that of the front surface of the fourth component between 0.30 F and 0.55 F and that of the rear surface of the fourth component between 0.45 F and 0.80 F, whilst the axial length of the airspace between the third and fourth components lies between 0.23 F and 0.50 F., F being the focal length of the objective. Numerical data are given for one example of the objective shown.
