Abstract
765,413. Photographic objectives. PAILLARD SOC. ANON. Feb. 28, 1955 [May 5, 1954], No. 5835/55. Class 97(1) In an objective comprising two divergent meniscus doublets between two simple convergent components the radius of curvature of the cemented surface of the second component is greater than twelve times the focal length F of the objective, the radii of the cemented surface of the third component is between .55F and .75F. the refractive index of the divergent element of the third component is greater than that of the convergent element thereof which is greater than or equal to that of the fourth component which is greater than 1.70, the arithmetic mean of these three refractive indices being at least 1.72 of the thickness of the convergent element of the second component being at least .18F. Numerical data are given for one example of the objective shown.
