Abstract

917,891. Photographic objectives. AGFA A.G. Jan. 8, 1960 [Jan. 24, 1959], No. 815/60. Class 97 (1). In a wide angle photographic objective of the kind comprising a front position meniscus having a refractive index greater than 1.675, a rear biconvex lens and a middle biconcave lens with its less curved surface R3 towards the meniscus, the surface refractivities #n/R for the second (R2) and third (R3) surfaces satisfy the arithmetical relation where f<SP>1</SP> is the equivalent focal length of the objective. Preferably also, using the notation of the Figure, the following relationships are also satisfied:- Optical data for three examples are given in the Specification.
