In a coupling, e.g. for pumps or hermeticallysealed instruments, wherein rotary motion is transmitted through a fluid-tight flexible diaphragm 9 by means of a non-rotatable wobblepin 6 secured to the diaphragm and engaging at its opposite ends are inclined bore 7 and a slot 8 in respective dogs on the coaxial driving and driven shafts 1, 2, the pin 6 has a spherical protuberance 17 fitting a hole in a fixed plate 10 and a slot, or two diametrically-opposite slots 18 in the protuberance are engaged by respective tongues on the plate 10 so that rotation of the pin 6 on its own axis is positively prevented. Preferably the ends of the pin 6 are provided with needle roller bearings engaging respectively the bore 7 and a square-section thimble in the slot 8. The sides of the thimble may diverge outwardly, as explained in Specification 705,038.
