Abstract

847,741. Textile drafting apparatus. RIETER & CIE A. G., J. J. Aug. 6, 1958 [Aug. 26, 1957], No. 25212/58. Class 120(2). To retain the top rollers when the arm is lifted, a pivoted lever 5 partly surrounding the shaft is urged to engage the shaft by resilient means 11 provided between the lever and a roller-loading-member 2 to which it is pivoted. The lever is disposed in a slot in the member 2 (which is shown cut away) and in the working position of the rollers abuts the upper part of the slot: when the arm is lifted, the initial descent of the rollers allows the lever to pivot so that its arm 12 prevents any further fall. The rollers may be freed by manipulating the arm 12.
