Abstract

846,609. Roll holders. JONES, E. J. Dec. 31, 1958 [Jan. 28, 1958], No. 2821/58. Class 18. A dispensing holder for rolls of sheet material has two downwardly inclined opposed surfaces 7, 9 which form a tapered channel with a dispensing slot between them at their lower edges 11, 10 respectively and which support a roll 14 and the front wall 1 has a cutting or tear edge 13. The surfaces 7, 9 are formed on front and rear pieces 1, 2 respectively connected by end cheeks 3. The cutting edge 13 may comprise downwardly tapering teeth and may be provided on a piece of steel which is detachably mounted on the holder e.g. by releasable clip means. The holder may be made from moulded polystyrene.
