Abstract

887,478. Toilet roll holders. TONDELLI, L. Sept. 16, 1959 [Sept. 17, 1958], No. 31606/59. Class 18. Means for moistening toilet paper with an alkali-free detergent comprises a holder 1a 1b of a synthetic plastics material or chrome plated steel plate in which a roll 3 is mounted, a polystyrene container 1c for the detergent, and a syringe 9. A sheet of paper is torn from the roll and pressed down over a triangular aperture 7b in a lid 7 for the container. As the lid is pressed down the syringe sprays detergent through the aperture on to the paper. A resetting spring in the syringe keeps the lid 7 raised slightly. A forked spring 8 holds the nozzle of the syringe in position against the underside of the lid. A textile material may be substituted for the paper.
