Abstract

843,731. Mandrels. UNITED STATES SHAFT CO. Sept. 1, 1958, No. 28060/58. Class 83 (3). [Also in Group XVI] A resilient sleeve 20 has portions thereof forced through openings 12 in an outer casing 11 so as to grip a core, not shown, placed on the casing 11. The sleeve 20 is secured in air-tight manner to an inner casing 14 by steel bands 21. The sleeve 20 is expanded by air pressure, through a pipe 16 having a non-return ball-valve 27.
