841,101. Anti-splash drinking vessels. ROBINSON AVIATION Inc. Oct. 27, 1958, No. 34330/58. Class 66. An anti-splash drinking vessel, e.g. a cup 10, has a baffle ring 18 which is substantially continuous round the inner circumference of the vessel. Two notches as at 34 are provided in the ring 18 to enable the contents to be easily poured out.. The tangent of the curve 26 of the lower surface of the ring 18 makes an angle of 60-70 degrees with the axis of the cup ; and the width of the ring 18 in cross-section, e.g. between lines a and b or c and d, is equal to 5-8% of the inner diameter of the cup immediately below the ring. The cup may be of ceramic or plastics material and is so shaped that one may be stacked in another, a part 40 on the inner cup resting on the upper surface of the ring 18 on the outer cup.
