840,340. Cartons. JACKSON, D. R. P., and MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. May 5, 1958 [May 7, 1957], No. 14484/57. Class 18. A carton, which may enclose packets of cigarettes and is known as an "outer", comprises panels 1-5 and end flaps 6-9, the flaps 9 having notches 10 to facilitate opening the carton by tearing the panel 5 from the flap 9. The carton is secured by adhesive fixing the flaps 7-9 to the flap 6, panels 4 and 5 not being secured by adhesive. If the carton is opened by tearing from the notch 10 for inspection or to apply a revenue stamp the box is resealed by applying adhesive to panels 4 and 5.
