Abstract

780,210. Cartons; packages. GAGG, J., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd. Feb. 8, 1956 [Feb. 28, 1955], No. 5892/55. Classes 18 and 94(1). A cigarette carton is closed by tucks 11 extending from narrow side faces 3 and overlapping flaps 13, 14 extending from broad side faces 1 overlying part of the tucks 11 and slit or weakened along a line extending across the closure face close to the free edge of one tuck 11 so that upon pulling a flexible strip 7, fastened at one end to the carton and underlying a number of cigarettes, with its other end projecting from a slot, these cigarettes are lifted against the tuck and push it outwardly. A stamp 15 holds the larger parts of the closure, a transparent wrapper may hold the shorter parts and the free end of the strip 7 may be fastened inside this outer wrapper. The package is of metallic foil.
