Abstract

839,025. Driving auxiliary apparatus. READY MIXED CONCRETE Ltd. July 21, 1958 [Aug. 29, 1957], No. 27259/57. Class 79(2) [Also in Group XXIX] A mixer drum 12, for ready-mixed concrete, on a vehicle is driven by an hydraulic motor 11 supplied with pressure fluid from a pump 1 driven from the front end of the vehicle engine 25 and connected to the motor 11 through a control and relief valve system. The pump 1 has low rate and high rate delivery pipes 6, 7 coupled to a control valve 8 which has various settings for controlling the direction of rotation and speed of the motor 11 by directing the individual or combined flows of the pipes 6, 7 through pipes 9, 10 leading to the motor 11. Either of pipes 9, 10 may act as a return line and is coupled by the control valve 8 to a low-pressure return line 15 leading to the reservoir 3. Both the lines 9, 10 are connected to the low-pressure return through non-return valves 19, 20 and a common pressure relief valve 23.
