Abstract
837,820. Entanglements. SEE, J. L. A. Dec. 27, 1956 [Dec. 27, 1955], No. 39322/56. Class 20(1) A framework for a barbed wire entanglement comprises a rod having arms 4a, 4b and an open loop 4<SP>1</SP> interwoven with a similar rod B to which is welded or bound at 15 an outer ring 5. Each area has a pointed end near which is a coil 20 and each loop has bowed portions which define peripheral eyelets 14. An entanglement (Fig. 1, not shown) is formed by connecting frameworks co-axially in parallel equidistant planes, longitudinally and diagonally by barbed wires, in the form of twisted strands between which small barbed elements (Fig. 4, not shown) have been inserted, the wires passing through the eyelets 14, and the coils 20 serving as anchorages. The barbed wires may be secured to the framework by clamps (Fig. 5, not shown) having barbed wedge-like jaws which can be pushed through the eyelets and locked therein.
