Abstract

773,262. Barbed wire entanglements. SEE, J. L. A. July 6, 1955 [July 6. 1954; Aug. 20, 1954], No. 19526/55. Class 20(1) Barbed wire entanglements which can be compressed for storage or transport and extended for use comprise a series of spaced plane frames A to F on which are strung longitudinal and diagonal barbed wires so that rotation of each frame closes it up on the adjacent frame and so on. Each frame comprises a loop 3 to which is welded the central curves of diagonal arms 4. The arms 4 are pointed at their ends to penetrate into the ground. Other types of frames are in Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown). The diagonal wires may be arranged so that the frames are closed up by rotation alternately in opposite directions. The frames &c. may be slid on a holder 19, Fig. 7, having an adjustable stop 20.
