578,530. Springs. MORRIS, W. E. March 27, 1944, No. 5638. Drawings to Specification. [Class 108 (iii)] A conical or waisted upholstery spring is formed from wire of oval or substantially oval cross-section with the major axis in the direction of the axis of the spring. The wire end may be welded to the adjacent convolution, and the wire formed of less malleable material than would be necessary if the connection were made by means of a loop, tie or knot. The wire may be formed by pressing wire of circular section.
