837,588. Casting-machines. DIE CASTING MACHINE TOOLS Ltd., and MILLS, A. R. Dec. 1, 1958 [April 16, 1958], No. 12117/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 83 (1). In a pressure die-casting machine, air-extraction means, such as a source of vacuum, is connected to the die cavity via a valve which is operated synchronously with the molten metal injection system, or the control for the injection system, so that air is extracted from the diecavity as the metal is forced in. The valve may be solenoid-operated, or controlled by a switch operated by the pedal or hand-operated lever which controls the injection.
