Abstract

836,474. Seed sowing machines. TWOSE (MANUFACTURING) Ltd., E. V. Aug. 19, 1958 [Sept. 26, 1957], No. 30253/57. Class 6(1). A seed sower comprises a hopper 1 from which: seed is delivered into a number of chambers 3, each comprising a rotatable sleeve 10 formed with a collar 11 through which protrudes a number of rods 28 which are fixed to a disc 29 in a shaft 15 which is axially adjusted by means of a lever to vary the depth of penetration of the rods 28 into the chamber 3 and so vary the amount of seed discharged through an outlet 14 and tube. The tubes are connected to tines mounted on a tool bar assembly 24 connected to lifting and lowering arms 25, 26 of a tractor 27. The shaft 15 is driven through a gear box 16 by means of a shaft 17 driven from a landwheel 20 by means of gearing 22.
