Abstract
835,271. Electron beam focusing apparatus. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. (Nippon Electric Co. Ltd.). Aug. 27, 1956 No. 26099/56. Class 39(1). [Also in Group XXXV] Annular permanent magnets for periodic focusing are axially magnetized so that the poles are situated on the ends of the inner surface of the annulus, so that the return flux 9 passes through the body of the magnet. The magnets are arranged end to end with ring pole pieces 10, Fig. 4, inside and covering the joins.
