Abstract

835,066. Packages. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH) Ltd. July 1, 1958 [July 4, 1957], No. 21124/57. Class 94(1). A package for an ice lollipop is formed by sealing opposed portions of film to enclose the unfrozen liquid and the stick 14, the stick being located by sealed areas forming a narrow channel 15. Two webs on a folded web may be used. The package is then frozen. A cut 16 or notch assists opening. According to the Provisional Specification, the package is formed by sealing opposed webs to form a tube, injecting the liquid and sticks through adjacent or co-axial filling pipes and sealing and cutting transversely at intervals. The packages are carried by pairs of grippers on a transverse conveyer to a freezing chamber. Several tubes may be formed simultaneously and side by side from the pair of webs the tubes being separated at a later stage.
