834,549. Multiple capacitors. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES Ltd. Nov. 2, 1956 [Nov. 4, 1955], No. 31653/55. Class 37. In a group of capacitive units 1 disposed side by side in a frame 2 and connected in parallel, one connecting tab 5 of each unit is electrically connected to a metal tape 6 by forming folds 7 therein, inserting one connecting tab within each fold, pressing the sides of each fold together, and uniting them with the tab by spot-soldering or welding. The sets of connecting leaves 3 of one polarity in each unit are folded to form flat tabs 5; the metal tape 6 of tinned copper embracing each flat tab. The connecting tabs 8, of the other polarity, are each similarly folded and embrace the one terminal 10 of a fuse 9, as described in Specification 806,117, the set of other fuse terminals 11 being connected together, like the terminals 5, by a second strip of copper tape 12; inserts 14 of folded foil being fitted over each terminal 11 to assist the spot-soldering or welding operation.
