Abstract

787,319. Fixed capacitors. MOCK, W. July 2, 1956 [July 1, 1955; March 7, 1956], No. 20489/56. Class 37. A capacitor has a number of dielectric plates metal-coated on both sides with conductors. The conductors of like polarity are connected by a continuous metal band passing round pairs of adjacent plates. The couplings may be varied to give series or seriesparallel connection of the plates. Fig. 2 is a crosssection of a capacitor formed of mica sheets 1 provided on opposite sides with conductors 2, 3 formed by burning on or vaporizing. The connections are made as by a band 21 connecting conductors 2, and a similar band (not shown) connecting conductors 3 arranged at the opposite end of the plates. Fig. 7 shows a similar cross-section of an arrangement in which the plates are connected in series-parallel, the band 12<SP>1</SP> connecting conductors 12.
