834,113. Discharging static electricity. MESSEN-JASCHIN, G., [trading as MESSENJASCHIN, G. A.]. Nov. 22,1957 [Nov. 24,1956], No. 36544/57. Class 35. A device for discharging static electricity from poorly conductive surfaces by means of a glow discharge comprises an insulating bar 1 carrying at least one earthed discharge wire 4 and a high-tension discharge electrode 5 mounted in the bar and energized by a transistor 7 and H.T. transformer 6 removably mounted in the end of the bar. Screening wires 3 are stretched between mounting rings 2. The electrode 5 may be moulded in the bar. The oscillator 6, 7 is fed with rectified current through a low-tension cable 10 and produces a pulsating H.F. voltage.
