Abstract

833,319. Valve gear. MOLLER, E., POUNDER, C. C., and REBBECK, Sir F. E. July 26, 1958, No. 24153/58. Class 7(6) In an engine having pairs of inlet and exhaust valves 4, 7, operated by single rockers 6, 9, from a camshaft 1 arranged at the side of the cylinder head, the fulcrum pins 11, 12, of the rockers 9, 6, are supported by a bearing bracket 13 secured to the camshaft housing 14 which is detachably secured to the side of the cylinder head 15. Each valve rocker 6, 9, operates its valves 4, 7, through a bridge piece 5, Fig. 4, guided by a pin 18 and in a gas engine the fulcrum pin 12 is extended to accommodate a rocker 16 operating a gas valve 17. The base of the camshaft housing 14 is arranged to form an inlet manifold 20. Specification 831,104 is referred to.
