832,327. Making wooden boxes. JACOBSON, C. E. June 23, 1958; No. 20020/58. Class 18. [Also in Group XXV] A box or crate of wood, plywood, or wood waste bonded with synthetic resin has its parts assembled on a metal frame and joined by staples which have their points turned over by engagement with grooves on the frame. An iron frame 16, Fig. 2, has the box sides 10, 11, Fig. 5, and bottom assembled thereon, the frame members having the profile shown in Fig. 5. Staples 13 have their ends cut obliquely so that on engaging grooves 17, 18 on the frame the ends are turned over. The ridge between the grooves may extend up to the corner between the parts 10, 11. The parts 10, 11 may be butted or dovetailed.
