Class 18] A packing case, crate or the like comprises separately formed detachable sides 7, ends 1, base 11 and lid 10, with battens 6, 2, 3 and 9 having preformed openings such as 5, 4 for the reception of bolts which are passed through openings in adjacent battens and fitted with wing or other nuts. The battens 9 may be produced to overlap the sides 7 and battens 6.
