Lumpy material from receptacle 1 falls on to stationary plate 2 from which it is discharged into hopper 3 by rotating scrapers 6, the scrapers being secured to the upper part 4 of the hopper 3, said upper part 4 having a toothed crownwheel 5 by which it is rotated. The scrapers are adjustable.
