Abstract

A rigid or flexible bottle, an ampoule, a sprayer, a hollow toy or other hollow article is produced from a linear, essentially unbranched, head-to-tail, crystalline or crystallizable polymer of propylene having an average molecular weight of more than 20,000 or from a composition containing such a polymer in predominant amount. It is preferred that the molecular weight is from 80,000 to 30,000 and that the polymer has a melting-point higher than 160 DEG C. The bottle or ampoule can be sterilized at from 100-160 DEG C.ALSO:A hollow article is produced from a linear, essentially unbranched, head-to-tail, crystalline or crystallisable polymer of propylene having an average molecular weight of more than 20,000 or of a composition containing such a polymer in a predominant amount by blowing in a mould an extruded tube or an injection-moulded pre-form or by die casting.
