889,343. Blow-moulding hollow articles. L. W. G. (PLASTICS) Ltd. Sept. 5, 1960 [Sept. 4, 1959], No. 30233/59. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XVII] A handle or projection 2 is attached to a blowmoulded hollow polythene article by first locating it in a mould 3 and then blow-moulding a tube so that it covers a flange 9 on the handle. The flange is preferably cut-away as at 10 to lock the material to the handle. The tube may be blown through a lower mandrel 16. The mould parts have cutting edges 14, 15.
