Abstract

842,347. Centrifugal moulding of hollow plastic articles. BEYER-OLSEN, K., and STEFFENSSEN, O. March 17, 1959 [Mareh 24, 1958], No. 9192/59. Class 87(2). A two-part mould 31, 32 for moulding thermoplastic or thermosetting synthetic resin hollow articles mounted in journals 34, 36, to enable it to be rotated about a horizontal axis by a motor 41, and in journals 25 to enable it to be rocked about an other horizontal axis by an adjustable linkage 46, 47, 48 is heated by jets in a tubular gas burner 6 fixed to the frame 2 carrying the mould. The mould may be cooled by a similar tube (see Fig. 1, not shown), which supplies jets of cold air or water.
