Abstract

In a process for moulding a plastic jerrycan, a number of handles each having a flange at its base, are moulded, the body is blow moulded in a two part mould with a joint along the vertical longitudinal plane of symmetry and two projections on either side of the joint line into which prefabricated handles are fitted before the container is blow moulded. The handles are pref. also of plastic so that they are welded to the body during moulding. The handles pref. have notches on their lower sides to fit the projections of the container which hold them.
