Abstract

Containers or cartons are mfd. by placing a prefabricated cardboard cup or sleeve into a mould cavity and successively ram forming and inflating an injection moulded puck loaded over the mouth of the cavity. A loose cap may be placed in or under the sleeve lining prior to the top forming operation. Integral moulding is more rapid than cold assembly of two prefabricated shaped components, and the materials interface is sealed.
